I've been apartment hunting in Minneapolis which is fun and scary at the same time. I'm thrilled about the PhD, but scared of the actual program. I'm excited for a new city, but much less excited about the frigid cold that comes with it! I'm excited to live by myself, but sad not to have roommates. Needless to say, things are confusing!!
That being said, I've found lots and lots of nice apartments. They come with different perks, in different neighborhoods, with different price tags. While they are all nice, they all seem like a house and what I really want is a home ... I wonder if I could convince any of my friends to move to Minneapolis? (Emily seems like my best shot!)

Here's hoping whatever house I pick, feels like home!
Today I'm looking forward to: running ... out-of-breath is a good feeling!!
Nick and I are working on making our house a home too. I feel the pressure to focus on the material things sometimes too much. Like I need to have everything decorated perfectly or make it look "just right". I think you are right when its about being with the right people, like Nick. (and you goobers when you come visit!)
